I am an engineer. My work is to solve problems with data, calculations, and testing. This mindset is not limited to projects and constructions.

Over the years, I began applying the same logic to a completely different field: the financial markets. Most people view them with fear or as gambling. I saw them as an environment full of numbers, statistics, and probability laws. I worked as if on a structural adequacy study: I set rules, made calculations, tested, corrected, and tested again.

This led me to create Sophos. It is not a game, nor a bet. It is software that applies strict rules and manages risk with discipline. In reality, it is the opposite of gambling: it removes emotion and keeps only method.

I did not change profession. I applied engineering logic to another subject. Just as someone may develop a new method of seismic protection, I designed software of mechanical analysis, structure, and risk management for the markets. It is the same seriousness, simply applied to a different field.
